Tooth-friendly Pacifier from Swedish Denty

My baby is just crazy about his pacifier! This last week it is practically glued onto his lips. As it makes him calm it really stresses me out to see that piece of plastic instead of his cherry-colored little mouth. He just had his first birthday so the dream scenario should be that he by now could survive without it, but he can’t. But here is some good news: he might not develop a cross bite and be in need of braces. I just find these funny-looking pacifiers from Swedish Denty with a whole new kind of nipple and made out of TPE rather than silicon and latex.

According to the makers of this pacifier it is tooth-friendly, hygienic and recyclable. On their website they describe their product as: “Denty GENUIN has a traditional design with a soft, thin, solid nipple. A thin nipple is gentle on your child’s teeth. The part between the nipple and the shield is broad and thin, which decreases the risk of developing an open bite. This design spreads pressure evenly on the front teeth, which decreases the need for braces later in life”.

I think I might try a Denty next time change his pacifier. Luckily, he is rather easy with what kind he puts in his mouth so it might work. I know I feel better knowing that he can safely continue to soothe himself a little bit longer without destroy his future smile. And to be honest, I think I like the odd look of them too!
